On each brief, you'll find a section called 'Usage: Talent & Third Party Rights & Restrictions', which outlines the specific usage requirements for on-screen talent, voice talent, music composers and any other third parties who need to sign release forms.
Global and in-perpetuity rights for Digital Media is standard on all Genero briefs, because of our clients' requirements. Although most clients do not intend to share digital content in perpetuity, the nature of Digital Media means that it is almost impossible to permanently remove such media once it is placed online, potentially putting them in breach of any term that was less than in-perpetuity. There may be briefs where limited digital usage applies, or there are limits on paid promotion.
Some briefs may also require any combination of Broadcast, Print, Events and cinema, Out-of-home and Trade. The definitions of each of these categories can be found in our terms.
Always make sure you check each individual brief carefully to understand the usage terms required for that particular project, and how they will apply to talents or any other rights holder.
