Clients on Genero can set up Multi-factor authentication (MFA) to better protect your Genero account. It uses a separate app or service (like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password etc) which generates a temporary code that you use in combination to your email and password to log in.
How to set up Multi-factor authentication on Genero
- Log in to Genero
- Navigate to security settings
- In the Multi-factor authentication section, click “Add”
- On your mobile device, open an authentication app (like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password etc), click “Add account” and scan the QR code. (You can alternatively add Genero to your Authentication app/service by entering the 32 character set-up code manually).
- Back on Genero, click “Next”
- To complete the set up, reference the 6 digit authentication code on your mobile device, and enter it into the verification code field on Genero.
- Click Verify. You’re all set up!
From now on, any time you log back into Genero with your email address and password, you’ll also be asked to enter the 6-digit code from your authentication app.
Troubleshooting

If you used your iPhone camera to scan the QR code when setting up MFA on your Genero account, on your iPhone:
